We were but children when it all began.
Selfishly I'd take your hand.
You were mine even then,
I'd watch you squirm and start to grin.
The feelings then were just as strong
Whose to say that we were wrong?
Life always has a way of showing
What we never were capable of knowing
Time traveled by slowly and yet so fast
Oh to have you in my arms at last
That same grin on your face
We travel back to our special place
You, the dark knight to conquer my fears
I, the sorceress who vanquishes your tears
Tell me now how we can lie
To ourselves until we die
Blood speaks louder than the lies we spew
And my blood, it screams for you

A glimpse into an impossible future inside of a glimpse into the past.
A daughter of the night yearning to touch the sun.
The tantalizing tendrils of smokes caress.
The agony of feeling it slipping through your fingers.
Prolonging the inevitable, clinging to dregs of hope.
Make it stop.
Take me away.
Set me free.
We can slay our demons together and revel in their suffering.
The caged bird sings, for her song is as close as she gets to the joy of being released.
These scars you've seen, they disappear when touched by the sun.
But reality hits once again.
Hollow.
Inky cloying darkness.
One scar that no one will ever see.
It is yours.

Everything for the journey was gathered. Everyone, it seemed, was in the courtyard when Xele' arrived. No matter her mothers shocked look at her, she had ran immediately to change. The brown leggings she had bought for herself almost a year ago, after finally deciding that riding in a dress was just not worth the sores. The loose flowing green tunic and small leather vest she had "picked up" one day while the castle servants were washing laundry in the stream. It was apparent that the vest was for a younger boy, but it was all she had. Her hair was held up by two thin sticks that twined through her locks. She got a small shock as the people m
Chapter Two
He opened his bright green eyes. The warm night was still dark. The memory of her face was etched in his eyes. "So much like her mother." He whispered to himself. Rather than trying to go back to sleep, which he knew to be pointless, he crawled out from under his cloak and fastened the color changing cloth around his shoulders. Running his fingers through his shaggy brown hair and stretching, he thought about what to do next. The little brat of a girl at the castle had no idea what schemes were being played in this land. Was it a good or bad sign... he hadn't decided. "There is something to be said for ignorance." He spoke to th
Chapter One
Her breath came in great rasping gulps. It was if the light fog that flowed across the ground below her were a slow creeping gas, stealing the oxygen. Every shape in the dusk was unfarmiliar, every shadow grotesquely distorted. It was a forest, that was evident, but not one she had ever stood in before. The trees did not seem like trees at all. They were like creatures reaching out to grasp her very life force.
She could practically smell the energy around her. The small blonde hairs on the back of her neck pricked cautiously. She slowly reached her hand above her head, carefully feeling out the energy that was so powerful in th
Prologue
Spinning 'round in tight circles, a lush, green field about her feet that seemed to spread for miles in every direction. The feel of the cool, wet, dew that clung to her ankles spoke of the recent spring shower. The smell of rain, grass, and earth lingered in the air like a light perfume, lulling the mind to sweet thoughts. Her obsidian hair lashed wildly about her face. Every now and again the flash of her smile made a great contrast against her black hair. Out of breath and dizzy, she fell to the ground on her back. Her bare feet flew up in the air only to drop to the sweet smelling earth with a thud. She opened her eyes and watch
At one time,
there was a small boy,
in a small town,
with a beautiful frown.
over his small head,
hovered a small crown.
His mother a princess,
not ever a queen.
Most magical woman,
you've ever seen.
She rode on high horses,
stole peoples voices,
some of the in between.
One day,
In the midst of the rain,
she promised this small boy,
to never get hurt again.
the small boy only giggled,
he said "dada" she sighed.
but after this she found,
she could no longer hide.
For a man had come,
no,
not a man but a king.
She no longer felt a princess,
but a queen.
Queen of her heart and of his.
Queen of her mind.

Today started off like any other.
Before I opened my eyes I reached out for you.
Not feeling your warmth, my heart sank.
I closed my eyes tighter and saw your face.
A beeming smile crossed my lips as you said, "Babe?"
I stay here,
In this wonderful state of bliss.
Of dreams.
Of you.
"Its time."
My eyes fly open.
The sun beats down on my face,
Mocking my every move,
Thought,
Feeling.
Your not here.
"Get dressed"
Underwear.
Bra.
Socks.
Pants.
Shirt.
Shoes.
Nothing matters.
I stand at the crib and smile,
At the innocent.
A kiss on the head and i'm out the door.
Someone's speaking.
I can't hear.
My ears are with yo
Meeting in secret,
Known just as friends,
If they found out,
It'd be forced to end .
Warm and gentle lips,
Hued the softest pink,
Joined in a simple kiss,
Our hearts become a link.
I smile at you,
And you back at me,
What would we do,
If someone were to see.
You're the only star,
That is in my sight,
No matter how far,
You'll always be my light.
Our love is wrong,
According to our peers,
I'll reveal in this song,
For everyone to hear.
Just let us be,
For you aren't being just,
To set us free,
Without looks of disgust.
Til that day,
When others will endure,
We'll sit and wait,
For you to be more mature.
So we'll m
